jack justus lighting design
From the technical wings of a sixth-grade theater, my passion for storytelling through lighting design was sparked. Over the years, I’ve grown to appreciate lighting as a unique intersection of art and technology—one that allows me to express creativity through a medium grounded in precision and innovation.
Whether creating an intimate and dramatic environment for Frankenstein in a small performance space or exploring new technologies for large-scale productions, I frequently switch between the artistic and technical sides of a project, always seeking the most successful approach to tell a story. My background in engineering allows me to push boundaries, while my artistic perspective ensures the result resonates with audiences.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at Boston University’s College of Engineering, with a minor in Theatre Arts. This dual focus reflects my commitment to blending design and technology to create impactful work—where storytelling meets innovation.
